The Institute of Safety Professionals of Nigeria ISPON led by the State chairman, Dr Martins Uzoma FISPON, MNSE, MNIWE today 13th November 2020 paid courtesy visit on the Managing Director/CEO of the Imo State Water & Sewerage Corporation Engr Emeka Ugoanyanwu FNSE FNIWE in his office at the Corporation's head office Owerri. Dr Uzoma intimated the MD of the activities of the institute and called for collaboration towards achieving SDGs.

ISWSC STAFF EMBARK ON CLEAN UP EXERCISE AND FACILITY TOUR OF OTAMIRI WATER WORKS

Staff of Imo State Water and Sewerage Corporation recently embarked on a clean up exercise and facility tour of Otamiri water works. The exercise which held on Thursday 12th November 2020 afforded the  management the opportunity to  showcase ongoing rehabilitation works at Otamiri Head works. The exercise also afforded staff and guests the opportunity to see the massive rehabilitation works being undertaken by the Governor of Imo State, His Exellency Sen. Hope Uzodimma and our development partner USAID funded EWASH program.

Menstrual Hygiene Day

In Imo state the three USAID EWASH funded Grantee CSOs were not left out as they join the global community in awareness creation about menstruation and  empowerment opportunities for the girl child and women in general across communities and groups in Owerri, Orlu and Okigwe.

WEWE, the grantee CSO implementing in Owerri was with women and female Youths of Umuororonjo Community. With integrated messaging around COVID 19 and Menstrual Hygiene Management. Participants here were further engage in conversations around myths and misconceptions  associated with menstruation.
